Call for Pre-Proposals to Host IMC14

The International Mycological Association (IMA) invites all collective members to submit pre-proposals to host the 14th International Mycological Congress (IMC14). Hosting an IMC is a prestigious opportunity to bring together the global mycology community, showcase your region's contributions to fungal science, and foster international collaboration.

Pre-proposals allow the IMA Council and Executive Committee to evaluate potential venues and concepts before inviting full bids. Organizers of selected pre-proposals will receive guidance and support in preparing their formal bids.

Key Deadlines: Pre-proposals must be submitted to the Secretary General no later than 10 months before the current IMC (November 2026). Full bids will follow and are due 6 months before the current IMC (February 2027). The final venue and dates will be confirmed before the next General Assembly.

We encourage institutions, regional societies, and collective members with the vision and capability to organize IMC14 to submit a pre-proposal. This is your chance to host the global mycology community and shape the next chapter of IMC history.
