MycoRise Up! Youth in Mycology 7th Edition - students' conference in Poland - the call for abstracts is nearly over
MycoRise Up! Youth in Mycology is an international students' conference organised each year by students and PhD candidates from a different University in Poland. The 7th edition is being organised by Biology of Microorganisms Students' Society from Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw in cooperation with Polish Mycological Society.
The event will take place in European Centre of Geological Education (Chęciny, Poland) from 5th to 7th of June 2026. Any bachelor student, master's degree student and PhD candidate can register and submit their abstract covering the topic of fungi and fungi-like organisms until 7th of April, 2026. Abstract submission information:
To participate actively one should prepare an abstract of maximum 300 words. The abstract must be in English and should not include literature citations nor figures. Please remember to include the following elements in your abstract: for literature review: introduction, most important findings, conclusions; for original research: introduction, methodology, findings, conclusions. The registration and abstract submission are being carried out with a Google forms available on our website. Please remember to register first before you submit your abstract. The abstracts will be evaluated by Scientific Committee members. Reviews will be sent to you by the 30th of April. Then you will have two weeks to reply to reviewers and submit the corrected version of your abstract.

Financing information:
Accommodation costs at the conference site for all students of University of Warsaw will be covered by the University thanks to internal micro-grant. Furthermore a funding opportunity is available for all active participants, whose abstract cover the topic of medical mycology. The Medical Development Center Foundation agreed to provide 2 travel grants (500 euros each) for presenting authors of two best abstracts in medical mycology.
